Spring has Sprung!

The first weekend of May I spent in Helsinki. My host dad and uncle were running in the Helsinki city run which was a half marathon so we drove down and made a weekend of it! We went down on Thursday night and came back on Sunday.
Finland hosted the Olympics in 1952 and it was held in Helsinki which is Finland's capital. On Friday's adventures walking a little around the city, shopping and whatnot, we went to the top of the Olympic Stadium Tower and saw the view over the city!
Saturday was the city run. In the morning we visited a flea market and then I went and met up with other exchange students that were staying nearby. We did some sightseeing which included even going inside the White Church, some souvenir shopping, etc. The afternoon was spent at the Helsinki zoo which we went to via the bus and back by boat! It was a beautiful day and perfect weather! No need for any winter coats or rain jackets for once! Spring has sprung! :D We went to the supermarket and organised ourselves a picnic which we took to the park and shared!
It was lovely to meet up with everyone and it was perfect weather for the city run which we saw as well!
