My Rotary club here in Finland meets every Monday. One Monday, instead of meeting at the usual restaurant, we visited Ahvenlampi Scout Camp which is located in the forest and by a lake around 10kms from Oulainen. We grilled makkara (sausages) over a small fire and were shown around the site. The club is a major sponsor of the local Scouts and we were shown the most recent addition to the site; a new building!
It was pouring with rain only half an hour before we left to go there but whilst we were there it cleared up and the sun started to come out from behind the clouds and it turned into a nice afternoon!
